The Student Composers Association at the University of Georgia is home to more than forty composers, including graduate and undergraduate composition majors, minors, faculty and other community members interested in composing, new music and creativity. The association promotes the performance of student works in four New Works recitals each school year, as well as other collaborative projects that challenge students to collaborate across disciplines in creative and non-musical fields within and outside of UGA. Recent collaborations include that with the Georgia Museum of Art, Athens CHaRM (Center for Hard to Recycle Materials), Integrative Conservation Conference, State Botanical Garden of Georgia, the UGA Fashion Design Students Association and others.
