2026 UGA New Music Festival

University of Georgia New Music Festival
February 13-14 2026
Dancz Center for New Music | Hugh Hodgson School of Music

The Music Composition program is excited to host the UGA New Music Festival from February 13-14 2026 at the Dancz Center for New Music, Hugh Hodgson School of Music, University of Georgia (Athens, GA). This year’s festival headlining composer is Leah Reid, and the headlining ensemble is LIGAMENT (Will Yager and Anika Kildegaard). As part of the Festival, UGA is hosting Call-for-Scores and Call-for-Performers. This call is open to composers and performers of any age, residing in the United States.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: September 30 2025
Results will be announced by: November 30 2025

The festival highly values community building and active engagement, making in-person attendance essential for all selected composers and performers. Please note that the University of Georgia is unable to cover travel and accommodation expenses for selected participants.

Please direct all questions to Dr. Emily Koh emilykoh@uga.edu
